This special journey is coordinated by The Paulist 150th Anniversary Office and is led by two well-known Paulist priests: Fr. Thomas A. Kane, CSP and Fr. Paul Robichaud, CSP, along with Ms. Stefani Manowski, who serves as Director of The Paulist 150th Anniversary Office.

 

Fr. Thomas A. Kane, CSP

Fr. Thomas A. Kane, a Paulist priest, teaches liturgy and preaching at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, MA.  He is also the Director of the National Paulist Office of Reconciliation in Washington, DC.

Fr. Kane has been leading and designing pilgrimages for over 12 years. He is interested in the theology of place, discovering the sacred on pilgrimage in various countries,
including Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey.

 
Tomaso is also a videographer and has lived in Africa, Polynesia, Melanesia and various parts of Latin America as he studies the relationship of sacred dance to indigenous culture. He has a wonderful knowledge of local cuisines and delicious wines.

Fr. Paul Gerard Robichaud, C.S.P.

Fr. Robichaud majored in American History at Boston College, and received his Masters Degree in Theology from the Seminary of the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.

Fr. Robichaud earned his Ph.D. in American Intellectual History from the University of
California Los Angeles, and his dissertation, Beyond Ethnicity, won the Notre Dame University Cushwa Prize in American Catholic History. From 1989 to 1996 he taught Intellectual, Cultural and Religious History at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC.

In 1996 Fr. Robichaud was appointed as Rector of the Church of Santa Susannah in Rome, Italy and pastor of the American Community. As Paulist representative to the Vatican, he served as a Vatican analyst with CBS, ABC, the BBC and Sky Television.

Fr. Robichaud is presently in residence at the North American Paulist Center in Washington, D.C., which houses the Office for History and the Office for the Cause of Father Hecker.

The Paulist Office for the 150th Anniversary

 
 

The Paulist Office for the 150th Anniversary is responsible for the planning of national anniversary events, including the Year of Paul Anniversary Pilgrimage to Rome, Italy and the 150th Anniversary Convocation June 19-21, 2008, to be held in Washington, D.C.

The 150th Anniversary Office also provides resources and other support to the more than 30 Paulist foundations in North America and Rome in celebrating the anniversary in their cities.
